June – A month of my Favorite Quotes

#3 June 11, 2013: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.”  Jesus the Christ, John 14:6

This verse has spoken to me since the time I was discipled.  Jesus is explaining that there is no other way to get to our Heavenly Father, except through Him.  He is the One who sacrificied His own life to make it possible for us to have a personal relationship with our Abba Father.  Jesus is first telling us that He is God, by using the words “I AM”.  Jehovah, the LORD God Almighty used this term in speaking to Moses.  Moses had questioned Him, regarding telling the Israelites who was sending him to them.   Jesus was making it perfectly clear to His audience that He was claiming His Divinity as being The LORD God, part of the Holy Trinity.

If we desire to know the LORD God, we must first accept Jesus and establish that personal relationship with Him.  We have no access to our Heavenly Father if we try to exclude or cut Jesus out of the picture.  My personal life has become a testimony to Jesus, living it through Him, thus the Father gets all the glory.  If Jesus isn’t your all in all, the Main Thing, take time today to put Him there.

  1. I am so thankful for this verse and others like it that take the guess-work out of life. May we all really understand the truth here, that Jesus is the ONLY way. Then may we get out there and share that truth with others who are trying to get to God through some other way. May our lives reflect Jesus. May he find us faithful.
Thank you for this challenging word today, Toni. Giving God the glory!

    • You are very welcome. This is one of the first scriptures I memorized and it became my life. Thank you for your loving encouragement to me!

  2. Toni,

This is a great verse to be sharing this morning.

“I am so thankful for this verse and others like it that take the guess-work out of life.” – I can add nothing more. Lord bless you.

  3. Thank you Brother Rob! May the LORD bless you too!
