May – A Month of Introspection

For some reason, my mind is always going.  And I keep having these questions go through my mind.  They are challenging me in my thoughts and relationship with the LORD.  So I have decided to make this month my 20 questions month.  These questions are meant to challenge me and you in our Christian walk.  My desire is that each day we look at our lives and evaluate where we are in our relationship with Christ.  Please take a few minutes each day and reflect on the question.  I welcome questions (don’t always have the answer, but I do know where to find it!).  I would love to hear from some of you if you feel led to share.  Thank you in advance!

May 23rd, Question #18: Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”  As I read this, my mind went to the words dwells and abide.  To me, the word dwell speaks of a place where you stay, the actual “house”.  But the word abide speaks to me in the sense of “living” in that house.  The house is where I go but living in it is what I do.  Do I desire to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and abide in the shadow of the Almighty?

May your heart be blessed today.

Seriously, though, Psalm 91 is one of my favorites. I like how you drew out the difference between “dwell” and “abide.” Missed that bit. I do like being *under* the shadow of the Almighty. I see Him as a great mountain, me as being *under* that mountain during any storm. That’s much better than being off to the side in His shadow where we get blown away!
Enjoy your holiday weekend, dear one!
